Sirodhara is one of the most important and beneficial treatments in Ayurveda, practiced in India for over 5,000 years. It is a unique and subtle therapy that uses herbal oils tailored to the individual's constitution and involves a continuous stream of oil poured gently onto the forehead, specifically over the third eye area.
The primary goal of Sirodhara is to restore physical and emotional balance by rejuvenating the spirit and promoting overall well-being. Traditionally, it is used to calm the nervous system, harmonize Vata dosha, release deep-seated emotions, and purify the mind.
Our Certificate Course in Sirodhara also includes training in various forms of Dhara, including:
The course consists of 16 guided hours, covering both the practical steps and theoretical understanding of the procedure.

What Is The Course About?
The Sirodhara Certificate Course provides learners with expert practical and theoretical knowledge of the Ayurvedic treatment – Sirodhara – the therapeutic flow of oil on the forehead.
What is Sirodhara?
Sirodhara is a key Ayurvedic therapy that enhances emotional, mental, and physical well-being. The word derives from two Sanskrit terms: shiro meaning "head" and dhara meaning "to flow." The treatment involves a continuous stream of warm, aromatic oil poured onto the forehead, specifically targeting the ‘third eye’ – the chakra located between the eyebrows and considered the seat of human consciousness.
As the oil gently flows over the forehead and scalp, it induces a calming, blissful state. It stimulates the endocrine system, including the pituitary and pineal glands (helpful in hormonal imbalances), and activates pleasure-related neurotransmitters to help ease emotional distress. The treatment is believed to synchronize alpha brain waves, improve mental clarity, enhance cerebral blood flow, and help remove deep-seated toxins (ama).
In Ayurveda, Sirodhara is commonly used to address fatigue, mental exhaustion, insomnia, anxiety, excessive thinking, headaches, nervousness, and other lifestyle-related disorders.
